804 Auctions makes it easy to bid on great deals locally in Central Virginia or have items shipped directly to your door. Here’s how the process works from start to finish:

Step 1: Create Your Account

  • Click Register at the top of the site.
  • Enter your name, email, and create a password.
  • Verify your email address.
  • Add a valid payment method to activate bidding privileges.

Step 2: Browse Auctions

  • Visit the Browse Auctions page.
  • View current auctions, photos, and item descriptions.
  • Check whether each item is available for Local Pickup, Shipping, or both.
  • Review condition notes carefully before bidding.

Step 3: Place Your Bid

  • Enter your bid amount on the item page.
  • Confirm your bid.
  • All bids are final and legally binding.
  • If a bid is placed near the end of the auction, the closing time may extend slightly to allow fair competition (soft close).

Step 4: Win the Auction

  • When the auction ends, the highest bidder wins.
  • You will receive an email confirmation and invoice.
  • Log into your account to view your winning items.

Step 5: Make Your Payment

  • Payment is due within 24 hours of auction close.
  • Pay securely online using your saved payment method.
  • No buyer’s premium is charged.
  • Sales tax will be added where required by law.

Step 6: Choose Pickup or Shipping

Local Pickup

  • Pickup location: Mechanicsville, VA (exact address provided after purchase)
  • Pickup window: Within 72 hours of auction close
  • Bring your invoice and a valid photo ID
  • Failure to pick up within 72 hours will result in item forfeiture with no refund

Shipping

  • Shipping is available for eligible items only
  • Shipping is calculated and applied after the auction ends
  • You will receive a separate shipping invoice
  • Items typically ship within 2–5 business days after shipping payment clears

Step 7: Receive Your Item

  • For local pickup: Inspect your item at pickup
  • For shipped items: Track your shipment once it is sent
  • All sales are final – no returns or refunds
